A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will put $355,000 towards critical renovations for the Centenary Stormers’ local soccer club facilities.
This election commitment will cover upgrades to Field 3 and provide new portable grandstands, ensuring facilities are accessible and enjoyable for players and spectators.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
Quotes attributable to Federal Member for Oxley Milton Dick MP:
“The Centenary Stormers play such an important role in fostering social cohesion in our community, partnering with the Queensland African Communities Council, Queensland Fijian Football Association and Special Olympics.
“These upgrades will not only enhance our local sporting amenities but also mean the facilities can continue to meet the growing demand on the club.
“Community sport is important because it promotes physical and mental health, fosters social connections, and strengthens communities, which is why the Albanese Labor Government is proud to be backing the club.”
