REMEMBRANCE DAY

Remembrance Day is a time to remember and reflect on all of those men and women who have served and sacrificed their lives for our country.

Today, Mr Dick will be attending the Australian War Memorial commemoration ceremony in Canberra.

“Every town in Australia has its own story and its own personal connection to the terrible conflicts of war, and today we honour and renew that personal connection” said Mr Dick.

“As we continue to commemorate the Centenary of Anzac, I would also like to recognise the significant anniversary of 100 years since the Battle of Pozieres and Fromelles”.

This year we also recognise 50 years since the Vietnam War’s Battle of Long Tan.

Today, we pay tribute to all those who have served and sacrificed their lives, especially those who currently serve our nation.

Reflecting on these conflicts we are reminded of the impacts of war - the depth of our gratitude remains unchanged.
