Oxley Electorate Spirit of Anzac Award


I am excited to announce entries are now open for the inaugural Oxley Electorate Spirit of ANZAC Award.

Entries are open to students in Year 11 to submit a short essay of no more than 400 words, poem or piece of artwork on what the spirit of ANZAC means to them.

The recipient awarded first prize as judged by a selection committee of local RSL Sub Branch representatives will receive flights and accommodation to visit the Australian War Memorial in Canberra later this year with a parent/guardian.

You will also visit Parliament House for a special meeting at my office and sit in the gallery during Question Time in the House of Representatives.

The recipient along with 5 other highly commended entries will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 20thApril.

Entries are to be emailed to [email protected] or delivered to my electorate office at Forest Lake Shopping Centre, 255 Forest Lake Blvd, Forest Lake by Friday March 24th.

Students who enter must be available to travel to Canberra on Monday 22nd May and Tuesday 23rd May.
