As another year comes to an end, I’d like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It’s a special time of year to spend with family and friends but also to remember those who are doing it a bit tough.

We’re fortunate to live in such a wonderful community in a great country. It’s something we should all be thankful for.

It’s a privilege and an honour to serve as your local Federal Member and I thank you for placing your trust in me. Every day I’m working hard to make our community event better and to fight for our schools, hospitals and the infrastructure we need.

It’s also a pleasure to work alongside our dedicated and passionate community groups. They are the backbone of our community whether they be the local football or netball club, meals on wheels or seniors association. They provide a place for people to come together and contribute to our society.

This year I’ve heard from thousands of residents through email, on the phone or in person directly at one of my 15 mobile offices or the hundreds of local community events.

It is your ideas and your feedback that shape what our future looks like. If I haven’t had the opportunity to meet you, my door is always open and I’m always happy to have a chat in person.

It’s been an honour to serve our local community this year. I hope you enjoy the Christmas period and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
